Jewelboxing

Jewelboxing is the pro-grade, short-run DVD/CD packaging system created by the folks at Coudal Partners. Available in 20, 40, and 100 packs, the Jewelboxing system includes Super Jewel Box King cases, perforated and scored disc labels, tray liners and inserts, and super-exact templates for most every design program, Mac and PC. Templates can be downloaded immediately after purchase, so Jewelboxing users can have the design work well in hand when their cases arrive in a few days.

At Jewelboxing.com, check out the Examples + Inspirations page to see how Brian Taylor promotes Rustboy with Jewelboxing, and Eyeball NYC wows prospective clients just by handing them the company reel. Jim Coudal chronicles Jewelboxing’s journey from bright idea to business in a daily weblog.

Vinyl Toys
Kidrobot

With designers creating and selling their own projects and products and a larger interest in well-designed items, it’s no wonder that the burgeoning urban vinyl toy scene has picked up steam as well. Kidrobot creates a new retail environment with the recently opened NYC (SoHo) location joining its already established San Francisco store. They sell highly collectable urban vinyl and plush toys created by different artists and than only make them in limited quantities — sometimes less then 200 copies of a given item. Mmmm…Skull Kun
